Does BisTrack have AI built in?

For vendor invoices, yes: AP Assist advertises AI-powered OCR with automatic adaptation to new layouts. For customer orders, no: the Order Entry Automation add-on is template-based OCR, and as of July 2026 no Prism AI capability has been announced for BisTrack.

Is Epicor Prism available for BisTrack?

No, it hasn't been announced as of July 2026. Prism and Grow AI went GA for Kinetic and Prophet 21 cloud customers in May 2025, and the May 2026 agent announcements named Kinetic, Prophet 21, and Propello. BisTrack hasn't appeared in any of it.

Can BisTrack read emailed customer orders with AI?

No, not natively. Epicor's order-side add-on needs a template per customer, so an arbitrary emailed PO from a new sender won't be read. Template-free reading takes a custom AI order entry system in front of BisTrack, staging drafts a person reviews before anything posts.

Will Epicor ship AI order entry for BisTrack?

Epicor hasn't said. The AP side already got AI, the partnership route covers other Epicor ERPs, and Epicor's building-supply conference in November 2026 is the obvious venue for news. We re-check this page quarterly, because an announcement would change the decision.

Does BisTrack Have AI?

On the accounts payable side, yes: Epicor's AP Assist for BisTrack advertises AI-powered OCR that reads vendor invoices and adapts to new layouts automatically. On the order side, no: the Order Entry Automation add-on is template-based OCR with no AI claims, and Epicor's Prism AI platform, which reached Kinetic and Prophet 21 in 2025, has not been announced for BisTrack as of July 2026.

In short, Epicor gave BisTrack AI for reading vendor invoices but not for reading customer orders. For order intake, the options today are templates or a system you add yourself.

What Epicor ships for BisTrack today

Epicor sells two document products for BisTrack, and they are not built the same way. AP Assist reads vendor invoices from PDFs and scans with what Epicor calls AI-powered OCR, recognizes forms and adapts to new vendor layouts automatically, validates against POs and receipts with two-way or three-way matching, and creates payables in BisTrack with the invoice image linked. Order Entry Automation reads customer POs with template-based OCR: templates are set up per account customer, and the system recognizes those layouts. One product adapts to documents it hasn't seen; the other needs setup for each sender.

Beyond documents, the intelligence features around BisTrack are conventional: Smart Views, which are SQL-defined grids users build and share, a Customer Stratification add-on for account analysis, and Trimble truck routing embedded in BisTrack Web and BisTrack Delivery. All of that is useful, and none of it is generative AI.

Where Epicor's AI push hasn't reached

Epicor's AI products, Prism and Grow AI, became generally available in May 2025 for Kinetic and Prophet 21 cloud customers. BisTrack wasn't named then, and it wasn't named in the May 2026 agentic announcements either; as of July 2026, no Prism agent for BisTrack has been announced. The July 2026 Conexiom partnership, Epicor's official route for AI order and invoice automation, covers Prophet 21 and Eclipse and leaves BisTrack out.

That leaves BisTrack dealers in a specific spot: the vendor's AI roadmap is visibly moving, but not toward BisTrack order intake yet. The obvious venue for that to change is Epicor's building-supply conference in November 2026, which is why we re-check this page quarterly.

Your routes to AI order entry on BisTrack today

Realistically there are two. The first is Epicor's template OCR add-on, which earns its keep when your emailed volume comes from a stable set of builders with consistent PO formats. Any BisTrack shop should price that first. The second is a custom AI order entry system, built by Airdev, in front of BisTrack: it reads whatever arrives without templates (emailed POs, handwritten or photographed material lists, documents that are half special order), matches lines against your item file and the account's contractor pricing, and stages drafts through the BisTrack API or the eBusiness import path, with a person approving before anything posts. It costs more up front, and then it's yours, with no per-document fees. That second route is what we build.

The order-automation SaaS vendors don't appear on that list because, as of July 2026, none of them (Conexiom, Endeavor, OrderPier, Esker) publishes a BisTrack integration, and Epicor's partner route doesn't cover BisTrack either. There's no rent-a-product middle option the way there is on other Epicor ERPs.

What the on-prem deadlines mean for an AI investment

BisTrack Desktop's final feature release is 2026.2, tentatively December 2026, and the Web and API platform's final on-prem release is 2028.1. Epicor's AI on its other ERPs has been cloud-only so far, so whatever eventually ships for BisTrack will likely land cloud-first too. An automation layer that talks to BisTrack through its API and import paths works against cloud and on-prem alike, which makes it one of the few AI investments a dealer can make that doesn't depend on how the migration timing shakes out.
